  • Chop for a whole evening without your wrist aching. The chef’s knife weighs just 194 g.
  • Yours is one of a kind: the wood and resin come out different on every handle.
  • The blade is only 1.8 mm thick, so it goes through vegetables and meat without you having to press.
  • You sharpen it less often because the hard core is around 60 HRC.

What does San Mai mean? Is it Damascus?

It isn’t Damascus. San Mai means three layers of steel: a hard core in the middle that holds the edge, with stainless steel on either side. The blade is matt, with a single fine line above the edge.

How long does it stay sharp?

It comes sharp, and the hard core holds its edge for a long time. When you feel it’s not cutting like new, give it a few strokes on a honing steel.

Will my handle look like the photos?

The colours and materials are the same, but the swirls in the resin and the grain of the wood will be different. The photos show examples.

Which one should I get?

If you’re only getting one, make it the chef’s knife: you’ll use it for almost everything you cook. The utility knife is for fruit, cheese and small vegetables, and the bread knife is for crusty bread and brioche.

When will it arrive and how do I pay?

Order by 12:30 (Central European time) on a working day and it ships the same day. Delivery time depends on your country, and you’ll see it at checkout. You can pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and delivery is free from €80.
