An engraved knife turns an everyday tool into a gift with meaning; a name or a message, marked permanently on the blade of any DACOBI knife.

What is laser engraving?

Laser engraving marks the steel permanently, without affecting the edge or the strength of the blade. The result is clean, precise and lasting; it doesn't rub off and it doesn't fade over time. We do the engraving in our own workshop, so we control the placement and the finished result on every blade.

We engrave text only: a name or a message, whatever you like, straight onto the blade of the knife. Whether it's discreet initials or a dedication, the engraving stays there for a lifetime, just like the knife.

  • a short quote or a set of coordinates.

How to order an engraved knife

  1. Choose the knife you want from the DACOBI range.
  2. Send us the text to be engraved.
  3. We engrave it in our own workshop, so your order ships 1-2 working days later than usual.

Terms for personalised orders

1. Under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU, goods made to the customer's own specifications or clearly personalised (for example, engraved text) are exempt from the right of withdrawal, so they cannot be returned or exchanged. By placing a personalised order, the customer accepts these terms.

2. Orders with personalised engraving must be paid by card.

3. Delivery may take 1-2 working days longer while we process and carry out the engraving, so that every detail is done carefully and to the highest standard.

Can any DACOBI knife be engraved?

Yes, every knife in our range can be engraved.

Can you engrave a logo, an image or an emoji?

No. We engrave text only. We don't do logos, images or emoji.

Where on the knife is the engraving placed?

On the blade, below the DACOBI logo, or on the other side of the blade if there isn't enough room.

Does engraving affect the edge or the strength of the knife?

No. Laser engraving marks only the surface of the steel, without affecting the edge or the hardness of the blade.

How long does the engraving take?

Engraving normally adds 1-2 working days to the standard delivery time.

Can I return an engraved knife?

Personalised goods cannot be returned (Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU), as they are made specially to your request.
